Trees are amazing, and we need more trees.
There are lots of ways we can help to protect our remaining forests and support tree planting schemes, but what can we do in our own communities? Or even in our own homes? What if we don’t even have a garden let alone land to plant trees on?
Well, we have a plan!
- Collect seeds.
- Grow seeds into trees using our gardens/ courtyards/ windowsills or whatever outdoor space you have.
- Release the trees back into the wild.
- Repeat.
It’s a simple idea that we hope will prove to be part of an effective solution to increasing tree cover in Torridge and beyond. All you need are a few pots, a little outside space, and your own time.
